The Bean're Bailout Ride To Wharf Rat Rally - Nova Scotia

"Day one, we rode from our meeting place in Staten Island to Shorty's in Boston. Day two, we rode 400 miles to St. John, Canada, where we will catch the ferry today for Nova Scotia and the Wharf Rat Rally," said photographer, Jack Mcintyre.

DAY TWO - "We rode 400 miles yesterday after our stop in Boston at Shorty's, great people, great food!," said photographer, Jack Mcintyre. "Today is the day I'm really gonna start shootin while the sun is strong before the hurricane hits this Saturday."

Bean're and crew, on the road to Nova Scotia. "We rode thanks to Spectro Oil, serious riding, ass flatening riding," said photographer, Jack Mcintyre.

"And through all the record hot tempatures, my Spectro oil still looks and smells brand new! It really is the best!" said Kevin Bean're, pictured here leading the crew out of Boston to St. John, Canada.

DAY ONE - The Bean're Bailout crew, sponsored by Cycle Source Magazine, rolled into Shorty's in upper Boston on Monday night.

The Broken Spoke Saloon and Campground is proud to announce that their S&S Burnout is Back!!! The same rubber chunking, heart pounding, hair raising event that first graced the County Line during the 2009 Black Hills Rally is kicking off round two in 2010.

It's going to be a Thursday Night, Bike Night World Record Burnout Night: August 12th and S&S Cycles will be giving away an S&S motor!!

500 lucky individuals will line their motorcycles up to become part of history and create a one off burnout that may even be seen from the far reaches of space. Of course safety is the number one factor and The Broken Spoke will be bringing in concrete jersey barriers for contestants to pull up to. Each and every rider will receive a number and be sent a corresponding certificate for their participation in this one of a kind experience. They will also receive a raffle ticket for their chance of taking home that shiny new S&S motor. This will be the only way to get your shot at the motorcycle history books and a killer prize from America’s premiere horsepower provider so don’t miss out.

Are You Going To The 2nd Big Mountain Run?

This year's Big Mountain Run through the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina, May 19 to 23 will begin with a party the night before at Wicked Willy Choppers in Taylorsville, North Carolina.

Then everyone will get up and ride 20 miles into Tilley's Harley-Davidson in Statesville to begin the two day Gypsy Tour through the Smokey Mountains, stopping the first night at the Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley.

"Wayne, the owner of Wicked Willy's has invited all of us attending the BMR ride that leaves Tilley's to come by his place the night before for a pre party with food, music and booze," said Chris Callen, editor of Cycle Source Magazine.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - This year the Big Mountain Run is scheduled for May 19th through the 23rd, 2010 and the line up is outrageous. To give everyone that wanted to do this last year and couldn't make it, we are keeping the gypsy run almost exactly the same. Wednesday may 19th we will meet at Tilley's Harley-Davidson in Statesville, NC where we leave at noon. From there we will take a two day Gypsy Tour through the Smokey Mountains stopping the first night at the Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley. These cats roll out the red carpet for us with a complete tour of the best motorcycle museum in the world. Camping is right on site that night and the next morning we take on the Dragon. US 129, the most notorious motorcycle road known to man. Then we cross the Cherahola Sky way and wind down through the hills to Reliance Tennessee for a three night party at Hiawassee Outfitters campground right on the river. At the campgrounds there will be live music all weekend featuring Crank County Daredevils, Last Vegas, Final Drive, Knucklehead, and Super Potent Death Baby just to name a few. There will be food vendors, The Cycle Source Chopper Show, mini bike racing and some of the best riding in the entire country. All this is included in your camping pass, just 10 dollars for one night, 20 for two or thirty to stay the whole time. The 5th Annual Wharf Rat Rally, last year was dedicated to Brad Ruel aka 'The Wrench', a celebrity bike-builder from Florida who passed away earlier in the year.

Five years ago the Digby, Nova Scotia Wharf Rat Rally was just a small event with about 750 motorcycles. Today it is the largest motorcycle rally in Atlantic Canada -- attracting an estimated 80,000 people and more than 17,000 motorcycles.

Special Commemorative Indian Larry Edition

It’s been five years since the custom motorcycle scene lost one of their greatest talents. Indian Larry was the man, and the story of his life was as unique as the motorcycles he built in his Brooklyn shop.

Larry lived life on his terms and touched many people as he blazed a trail across the chopper culture. Now, to mark this five year anniversary, Indian Larry Motorcycles and Cycle Source Magazine have joined forces to release a commemorative issue in his honor titled “Five Long Years.”
