Meet "Chessie's Tales" Author-Photographer Marilyn Elmore May 19 - 23 at Big Mountain Run

This week coming up: BIG MOUNAIN RUN - May 19 to 23, 2010. You can join Marilyn Elmore, photographer and author of Chessie's Tales and the Limpnickie custom builders for the 2nd Annual Big Mountain Run.

"I'll be attending this fun old fashioned bike run and rally in Western North Carolina. I'll be meeting up with JoAnn Bortles of Crazy Horse Painting and a couple thousand fans of Limpnickie.... I'm looking forward to this... Like I've never looked forward to a rally before,"

Marilyn has been writing "Chessie's Tales, Rides and Motorcycles" since Jan. 10, 2009 - The blog is a rider's account of pleasant miles spent on a motorcycle, along with stunning photography captured along country roads throughout Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and other points south.

"I'm a motorcycle rider," says Marilyn. "Been on the back of one type or another since 1971. It's been about 25 years since I owned a four wheeler of my own. In the past, I have questioned my sanity, not anymore, I am who I am. And I've found myself to be quite pleasant company. So come on, strap on the part of you that enjoys a good adventure and ride with me through Chessie's Tales."

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - This year the Big Mountain Run is scheduled for May 19th through the 23rd, 2010 and the line up is outrageous. To give everyone that wanted to do this last year and couldn't make it, we are keeping the gypsy run almost exactly the same. Wednesday may 19th we will meet at Tilley's Harley-Davidson in Statesville, NC where we leave at noon. From there we will take a two day Gypsy Tour through the Smokey Mountains stopping the first night at the Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley. These cats roll out the red carpet for us with a complete tour of the best motorcycle museum in the world. Camping is right on site that night and the next morning we take on the Dragon. US 129, the most notorious motorcycle road known to man. Then we cross the Cherahola Sky way and wind down through the hills to Reliance Tennessee for a three night party at Hiawassee Outfitters campground right on the river. At the campgrounds there will be live music all weekend featuring Crank County Daredevils, Last Vegas, Final Drive, Knucklehead, and Super Potent Death Baby just to name a few. There will be food vendors, The Cycle Source Chopper Show, mini bike racing and some of the best riding in the entire country. All this is included in your camping pass, just 10 dollars for one night, 20 for two or thirty to stay the whole time.
