2011 Honda CBR125R

2011 Honda CBR125R
You've heard the buzz about the CBR125R: it's the fun and friendly Honda that has given so many Canadian riders their first taste of motorcycling excitement – and has given some long-time riders a new reason to smile, too. Well, the buzz has just become a whole lot louder, because a more advanced CBR125R is here for 2011 with a new look and even better performance. Check out the stylish new bodywork, which gives the CBR125R a bigger-bike look and also enhances weather protection and overall ride comfort, and the wider wheels and tires that improve the CBR125R's excellent traction. What we haven't changed is the nimble, confidence-inspiring handling from the lightweight chassis, the low-effort controls, the comfortable seat height, and the responsive, hard-to-stall engine with PGM-FI electronic fuel injection. Easy to own, easy to operate. The Honda CBR125R sure is an easy bike to like.
Crisp response, thrilling performance
The 125cc sportsbike class is where riding careers begin. It’s a machine that gives young riders the opportunity to develop their skills as early as possible. That’s why it’s a motorcycle with a huge responsibility.
It must be just as rewarding to ride as bigger Supersports machines, particularly around town and other places where power is less important. Young riders build confidence on two wheels with bikes such as a 125cc. And let’s face it, it’s easier to learn something when it’s made to be fun.
Since its introduction in 2004, the CBR125R has represented the ideal first sportsbike. Compact, lightweight, refined, easy to use and with welcoming handling that the CBR family is renowned for. It’s a firm favourite with young riders the world over.

For 2011, the all new CBR125R is ready to prove itself as the perfect first sportsbike for a new generation of riders.
Designed to develop the sports riding skills from the earliest days of your career
Superbikes are the ultimate road motorcycles. They offer a thrill no other bike can match. That’s why we designed the 2011 CBR125R. A small-capacity bike with big ambition.
The brief to our design team was simple. Create a 125cc sportsbike with the look and feel of a bigger, more expensive machine. The new model had to retain the current CBR125R’s user-friendly handling characteristics and free-revving single cylinder engine, but packaged inside all-new sophisticated, lightweight and stylish bodywork.
Modern riders expect full-size proportions, so that meant more aggressive wheel and tyre specs too. We also added the latest advances in fuel injection and catalyser technology to make the CBR125R more efficient than its predecessor.
If you want your riding career to start with a motorcycle built as a superbike from the ground up, look no further than the 2011 CBR125R.

It was to realize an attractive quarter model that can meet the demands of the times to come and provide customers all over the world with joy and at an affordable price. What we aimed at was the 'Sport Quarter for One World, CBR250R.'
Their passion was embodied in various aspects of this motorcycle such as its displacement, frame size, driving stability, and riding position. These features were optimized for riders of all kinds, from beginners to experienced riders, so that they can feel the fun of maneuvering, which is fundamental to motorcycle riding.
A sporty feel that riders get the moment they mount and ride the motorcycle is pursued without sacrificing ease of use, in search of the optimum balance between the two. Nimble acceleration that can be felt the moment the throttle is opened, a feel of smooth rev-up in the high-speed range, linear vibration characteristics that do not discomfort riders, and a variety of equipment features such as a rear grip that provides a sense of comfort when riding in tandem-with this list of features, we are confident that customers will be satisfied without exception.

Design and Styling of 2011 New Honda CBR250R
The styling design expresses an originality that only Honda is capable of and which can be appreciated globally. It incorporates distinctive features everywhere that customers around the world will recognize at once as the features of a Honda sport bike. Building on a dynamic and sporty form based on the "mass centralization form," the cutting-edge design concept for Honda's full-cowl sport bikes from the VFR1200F and CBR1000RR on down, a simple and clean advanced styling was refined further from the functional viewpoint, producing a distinctive presence. The model also realized the all-around ease of use of the 250cc class, including a comfortable riding position and excellent handling performance.
A distinctive Y-shaped headlight brings to life a front face befitting Honda's new-generation sport bike by combining the headlight unit with separate, left/right position lights featuring a wide spread, ensuring high visibility from other motorists. In addition, the left/right side air outlets provided on the upper cowl boost the turning ability of the vehicle body while directing a proper amount of the wind from riding toward the rider.
The middle cowl expresses a simple yet beautiful surface design and brings an aerodynamic feel, while taking on a high-efficiency air management function that aims to achieve both high cooling performance and low Cd value. The under cowl structure leads the wind from riding directly to the engine and the catalyzer in order to boost cooling performance. Its design makes it look integrated with the engine and muffler to highlight the functional beauty of the lower portion of the vehicle body.
A special silencer with an irregular pentagonal section was chosen for the muffler design in order to reflect the cutting-edge design of Honda motorcycles. The banking angle and the comfort surrounding the rider's feet together with engine and muffling performance are all reconciled at a high level. Made of stainless steel and coated in black, the muffler adds a protector coated in matte silver as one more feature to accentuate the side view.

2011 Honda ST1300P Features
Unique Features

" ABS combines with Combined Braking System (CBS) for a wide range of braking and steering control. ABS features an electric-motor-driven modulator that gives quick, precise braking-pressure adjustments and smooth ABS operation. The system incorporates an integrated electronic control unit (ECU) controller, self-diagnostics with an interactive ECU test function and automatic protection against system failure (see Technology Section).

" CBS uses a second master cylinder and a proportional control valve (PCV) to couple the three-piston calipers of the dual-disc front and single-disc rear brakes. Using the front brake lever activates the outer two pistons of the front calipers and the two outer pistons of the rear caliper. Rear pedal engagement activates the center piston of the rear brake caliper and the center pistons of the front calipers, and a delay valve slows initial front brake response to minimize front-end dive.

" A motor-driven adjustable windscreen offers 7.4 inches and 13 degrees of adjustability for greater wind protection and touring comfort. A thumb-operated push-button on the left handlebar operates the windscreen motor. An additional 2.3 inches of manual adjustment is possible by repositioning the windscreen on the mounting brackets.

" New special patrol speedometer is graduated in 2-mph increments above 10 mph.

" Adjustable three-position dual-density solo seat.

" Handlebars raised 25mm and width increased 13.5mm for rider comfort.
