Australia - Alleged bikie faces four charges

AN alleged associate of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang has appeared in Blacktown Court faced with a string of charges after his home in Prospect was raided in late March.

David Wayne Attard, 34, of 501 Prospect Highway, faces 10 charges relating to the alleged supply of a controlled drug, possessing goods in custody and possessing exotic fauna without a licence.

Mr Attard was arrested on Thursday, March 31, by investigators attached to the NSW Strike Force Raptor, set up to investigate alleged biker gang-related crime.

Mr Attard is charged one count of supplying a prohibited drug and two counts of possessing a prohibited drug.
Police allege they found 415.5gms of cannabis leaf, 56gms of cannabis resin and 52gms of hashish during the raid on his home.
Mr Attard is also charged with five counts of possessing prohibited fauna after police allegedly confiscated a green chameleon, a mexican tarantula, a Chinese three-keeled (freshwater) turtle, four green tree frogs and an

American corn snake.
A KMT dirt bike worth more than $5000, believed to have been stolen, was also taken.
He did not enter a plea but, after more than five weeks behind bars, Mr Attard was granted conditional bail to reappear at Blacktown Court on May 19.
