Background:

Two bills will soon be considered by the California State Assembly Transportation Committee:
AB695 will amend the helmet law so adults will have the right to decide.

AB1047 will prohibit funding of motorcycle-only police roadblocks.

The bill sponsors are asking for your help by sending an email to each of their legislative aides. They are only adding up how many emails they get in support of these bills. Volume counts, so use your alternate email addresses, too.

Here is a sample email in support of AB695:

As a member of ABATE of Callifornia I support AB695.

Here is a sample email in support of AB1047:

As a member of ABATE of California I support AB1047.

No need for frilly language unless you wish to add more, though it's always good to mention your membership in a motorcycling organization in case they're taking note of it. But the most important thing is how many emails they receive before April 18.
