Motorcycle crackdown begins Friday in Hemet
The number of officers on patrol will be increased in areas where motorcycles are most common, according to sheriff's deputies. Riverside County sheriff’s deputies today announced plans to target unsafe motorcycle riders, starting Friday.

The number of officers on patrol will be increased in areas where motorcycles are most common, according to sheriff’s deputies. Deputies across Hemet will be on the lookout for riders who appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and riders breaking traffic laws will be ticketed, deputies said.

In the past three years, Hemet police have logged 58 wrecks involving motorcyclists, leaving 51 of the riders injured, according to sheriffs officials.
