Australia - Accused bikieshooter appears in closed court

OFF THE WIRE
A MAN charged with the attempted murder of Rebels bikie boss Nick Martin has appeared in a closed court today.
The 30-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is a member of the Rock Machine outlaw bikie gang.
He appeared in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court this morning but members of the media were ordered out of the court room for the duration of the brief hearing.
It’s alleged the man shot Rebels bikie boss Nick Martin in the elbow outside his Balcatta home last month.
It will be further alleged that the vehicle used to drive to Mr Martin’s home was set on fire in an attempt to destroy evidence.
Outside court, the man’s lawyer Malcolm Ayoub said his client would reappear in court on May 18.
