Murupara man Jeremy Horne appeared at the Palmerston North District Court briefly yesterday.
One of the men arrested in police drug bust Operation Stamp is now facing extra charges.
Murupara's Jeremy Shane Horne, 39, unemployed, was initially arrested on a methamphetamine supply charge.
But another four charges were added yesterday during Horne's brief appearance before Judge Gregory Ross at Palmerston North District Court.
The new charges are one of producing methamphetamine and three of having equipment or material with intent.
Horne was remanded in custody until May 11, after his application to be released on bail was thrown out last month.
At his appeal at the High Court in Palmerston North, Justice Forrest Miller said police concerns about Horne interfering with witnesses and increasing gang tensions in Murupara were valid.
But police would need to disclose whether they had any non-police witnesses as bail could be granted at next appeal.
Justice Miller said Horne was a member of the Murupara chapter of the Tribesmen gang, and his presence in Murupara could also exacerbate tensions there between the Tribesmen and the Mongrel Mob.
Horne's sister's house in Dannevirke was being looked at as a suitable bail address if he decided to appeal again.
In February, 150 police officers arrested 30 people allegedly connected to drug and stolen property operations in Palmerston North, Feilding, Levin, Foxton, Otaki, Whanganui, Murupara, Hamilton, Auckland, and Northland.
Police have named the Rebels Motorcycle Club as one of the gangs involved in the drugs trade, aided by others.
