THE man who shot dead Desmond Moran is being investigated over the suspected murder of a carpet layer nearly six years ago.
Geoffrey ''Nuts'' Armour is the prime suspect in the disappearance of father of three George Templeton in May 2005. Templeton vanished after leaving the Reservoir house he shared with his fiancee, Robyn Lindholm, and his son, Ross, some time between midnight and 1.30am on Tuesday, May 3.
Lindholm who worked as a stripper and was a former girlfriend of murdered gangster Alphonse Gangitano, was rumoured to be having an affair with Armour at the time of her fiance's disappearance and presumed murder. Armour, who was president of the Melbourne chapter of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang in 2003-05, is alleged to have threatened to kill Templeton for physically abusing Lindholm. Lindholm claimed at the time she was out with a girlfriend when her fiance, who was also known by the name George Teazis, disappeared. Lindholm said she received a text message from Templeton about 2.40am suggesting he might need to be picked up, but it did not say where he was. He has not been heard from since.
